How to Request Deletion of Your Data
Effective date: April 25, 2026
Last updated: April 25, 2026
In Plain Language
You can request deletion of your personal data at R Clinics by emailing info@r-clinics.com. We will delete the information we are legally allowed to delete within 30 days. By Jordanian law we must keep certain medical and financial records for fixed periods even after a deletion request — we will tell you exactly what is kept, why, and for how long.
How to Request Deletion
You can request deletion of your data in any of the following ways:
1. Email
Send an email to info@r-clinics.com with the subject line "Data Deletion Request". Include:
- Your full name as registered with us
- Your phone number or email on file
- Date of birth (for verification)
- A clear statement that you are requesting deletion of your data
2. In Person
Visit us at 370 Wasfi At-Tall Street, Amman 11822, Jordan, during business hours, and ask reception to record your deletion request. Please bring a form of identification.
3. By Phone
Call us at +962 7 9781 6152 to initiate a deletion request. We will follow up by email to confirm and verify your identity.
What Happens After You Request Deletion
| Step | Timeline |
|---|---|
| We receive and acknowledge your request | Within 5 business days |
| We verify your identity | Within 10 business days |
| We delete eligible data and provide a written summary of what was deleted and what was retained (and why) | Within 30 days of verification |
What Gets Deleted
We will delete:
- Your contact information (phone, email, address) used for non-medical purposes
- Marketing preferences and communications history
- Patient portal account and login credentials
- Photographs not part of your medical record
- WhatsApp and email message logs older than required for legal retention
- Any other personal data not subject to a legal retention requirement
What We Must Retain (and Why)
Under Jordanian law, we are required to retain certain records even after a deletion request:
| Data | Retention period | Legal basis |
|---|---|---|
| Adult medical records | 10 years from your last visit | Jordanian Ministry of Health regulations |
| Pediatric medical records (under 18) | Until patient reaches 28, or 10 years from last visit, whichever is longer | Jordanian Ministry of Health regulations |
| Financial records, invoices, payment history | 10 years | Jordanian tax law |
| Records relevant to ongoing or anticipated legal proceedings | Duration of the matter plus applicable limitation periods | Legal necessity |
After the legally required retention period ends, the retained data is also securely deleted or anonymized.
Effect on Your Care
If you delete your patient portal account but remain a patient, we can still provide care — we will revert to phone and in-person communications, and your medical record continues to exist as required by law.
If you wish to terminate the patient relationship entirely, please tell us. We will help you obtain a copy of your medical record (which you have the right to request) and refer you to another provider if you wish.
Confirmation
Once your deletion request is complete, you will receive a written summary by email confirming:
- The date the deletion was completed
- A list of categories of data deleted
- A list of categories of data retained, the legal basis, and the retention period
- The date when retained data will be deleted
